After a short illness, Vincent Pargeter, one of the most respected millwrights died on Saturday night.
Over a career spanning 43 years, he led the protection and repair of numerous wind and watermills across the South East of England and he will be greatly missed. His knowledge and experience was irreplaceable
Out of respect for Vincent, many windmills set their sails in the traditional position indicating a “passing”. Thelnetham windmills sails were set in this position today
