Current Restoration 2013 – present

In 2013 the site was generously gifted to a charitable trust by its previous owners.  Historic Suffolk (formerly Suffolk Building Preservation Trust), also the owners of Pakenham Water Mill, have now taken over the site with the intention of raising site facilities from “those of a typical meadow” to a level suitable for the general public and groups of school children. Historic Suffolk, the original owners and enthusiastic members of the community have formed a management committee to oversee this work. Historic Suffolk is working with another local charity, the Little Ouse Headwaters Project (LOHP) which has agreed to undertake the conservation and management of the wild flower meadow on behalf of Historic Suffolk.

Restoration working parties take place at the mill on a regular basis. See the progress of this work on the right.

The mill remains fully operational, flour is regularly milled and available for sale on mill open days and in local retail outlets, including Redgrave Community Shop.
